Earlier this week, Limerick Mayor Kevin Kiely reportedly proposed that EU nationals who fail to obtain employment should be deported, suggesting that some were here to avail of Ireland's 'generous' social welfare system. The 'generous social welfare' myth has already been debunked here on PE and elsewhere.
